A third inning grand slam by Tanner Foster back on March 3 propelled the Tigers to a 10-0 run-rule victory over visiting McLeod. The Tigers, who scored four runs in the first inning, finished with six runs in the third inning as the game was called after the top of the fifth via the 10-run mercy rule.
The Daingerfield Lady Tiger varsity softball team captured two wins at the Elysian Fields Tournament this past weekend to improve to 4-4-1 on the season.
The Daingerfield Tiger varsity track & field team managed to accumulate 81 points and place fourth in the team standings at the Rugged Red Relays in Winnsboro on February 27. Host Winnsboro took the team championship with 109 points, Canton was second with 108 points and Rains edged Daingerfield for third with 88.5 points.
The Daingerfield Tiger baseball team run-ruled visiting Redwater 10-0 on Tuesday, Feb. 25 then went 2-1 in the Elysian Fields Tournament this past weekend to improve to 6-2 on the young season.
