A former Daingerfield Tiger football standout is continuing to make a name for himself ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. Missouri Graduate Transfer Keke Chism has eclipsed 2,500 yards on his college career.
The Daingerfield Tigers and Paul Pewitt Brahmas each had several team members named to the 10-3A Division 2 All-District teams recently. All honors were voted on by the 10-3A coaches. Both Daingerfield and Pewitt shared District Championship honors with Hooks, so it stands to reason that each team would have a large impact on the District honors.
Though the season did not end the way the Daingerfield Volleyball teams and coaches would have hoped, there were still several players who earned accolades at the district level.
Just a week after the Pewitt Brahmas stunned the Newton Eagles on a last-minute touchdown, the Brahmas were on the other side of the coin against the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets Nov. 27. After leading 40-25 with six minutes left in the game, the Brahmas gave up 18 fourth quarter points to fall in the contest, 43-40.
