The Daingerifel dLady Tiger Powerlifting team of Jazmin Mendez, Ja’Khyra Connor, Sanaa Fields, Amierre Boyd, and Genesis Allen travelled to Prairiland Jan. 27 to compete in a meet.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers took on the Sabine Lady Cardinals Jan. 26 at Jesse Hanson Gymnasium. The JV lost the opening game of the night, 31-17. Jalaysia Holloman led the team with 11 points. Mia Broughton, Destiny Gholston, and Kelsey Manning each scored two points. For the Lady Tigers JV squad.
Daingerfield has had a long line of players to be named to rosters of National Football League teams. Many have gone on to have storied careers, and several have played in (and won) Super Bowl championships. It seems the next in line would be Denzel Mims, of the New York Jets
Northeast Texas Community College athletes started arriving on campus January 14th in preparation for the upcoming seasons. Arrival on campus was spread out over a few days to allow for social distancing and COVID-19 testing as the athletes arrived back to campus.
The Daingerfield Tigers welcomed the Gladewater Bears to Jesse Hanson Gym Jan. 22. The Tigers were looking to make up ground against the Bears, who were unbeaten in district play. When the final buzzer sounded, the Tigers had rolled to a 48-40 victory. The win keeps Daingerfield tied for second in the district standings, while the Bears suffered their first district loss of the season.
