The Daingerfield Lady Tigers notched their second district win Jan. 19 as they hung on to defeat the Lady Rebels of Ore City, 33-32. The win came a week after the Lady Tigers were blown out by New Diana, 53-20 on Jan. 9.
Nine Hughes Springs Mustang powerlifters helped the team take second place overall in the Maud Invitational Powerlifting meet Jan. 14. The Mustangs scored 35 total points to finish behind first-place Maud, but just two points above third place Daingerfield.
The Daingerfield Tigers and Lady Tigers powerlifters participated in the Maud Invitational Powerlifting meet on Jan. 14. Two girls and eight boys participated in the meet, where they broke 33 personal records broken, and three school records. Another school record was tied in the meet.
The Daingerfield Tigers and Lady Tigers traveled to Ore City Jan. 21 to participate in Ore City’s powerlifting meet. The Tigers, paced by five first-place finishes, took first in their first team win of the season, and the Lady Tigers finished second behind New Diana in the trimeet. Tiger powerlifters scored a total of 55 points in route to setting more personal and school records. The girls took second behind the strength of three lifters.
TYLER, Texas, Jan. 15, 2021 – Brookshire Grocery Co. and BGC Racing is excited to announce plans to host the eighth annual FRESH 15 with a new date of May 15, 2021, at the FRESH by Brookshire’s store located at 6991 Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler. The annual race, which was originally scheduled for the first Saturday in March, will follow COVID-19 guidelines with an abbreviated event format.
