The Daingerfield Tigers earned a split with rival Hughes Springs to open District 13-3A baseball action last week. Coach Jermaine Mitchell’s Tigers hosted the Mustangs on Tuesday, Mar. 18 and claimed a 6-4 victory, but on Friday night in Hughes Springs, the Mustangs pulled off a 4-2 win in extra innings.
Daingerfield senior Jaycee Satterfield hit for the cycle in Chapel Hill on Thursday, Mar. 20 as the Lady Tigers collected their first District 13-3A victory with a 20-9 win over the Lady Red Devils. The win pushes Coach Shawn Freeman’s Lady Tigers to 5-6-1 on the season and 1-2 in district.
