The Daingerfield Lady Tiger varsity softball team opened District 13-3A play at home on Friday night and were defeated by Hughes Springs, 13-1.
Daingerfield was host to the annual Mickey Mayne Relays this past Friday with six teams on hand for the event.
The 2025 Daingerfield Girls powerlifting team. Returner were sophomore Riyah Nelson and junior Madeline Contreras. Newcomers were juniors Makayla De Leon, Ellayna Morrison, Alissa Dorough and Tessa Pollan. Sophomores Rachael Walker, Arryana Evans and Maria Valerio. Freshmen Jenlah Nelson, Natalyn Sullivan and Lakelah Neal. With a new team for the 2025 the Tigers coached by Tyson Brown, Ben Ramirez and Becca Rodriguez, we’re excited to see how well they could do. All the girls had a great year including Alissa Dorough breaking the school bench record for the 114 weight class. As well as 8 girls making it to regionals. Makayla Deleon, Jenlah Nelson, Maria Valerio, Lakelah Neal, Alissa Dorough, Madeline Contreras, Riyah Nelson and Natalyn Sullivan. With a few coming a few pounds short from going to state. The Daingerfield Tigers competed in the Atlanta Jackrabbits baseball tournament this past weekend and collected two more victories to improve to 9-3 on the season.
